Our story – from a garage to a traditional sports shop
It all began at Haus Elite in Saas-Grund in the picturesque Saas Valley. The Burgener family ran a cosy guesthouse here and already offered ski, snowboard and cross-country ski rental to their guests in the early 1990s.
From humble beginnings in a small garage, a sports shop with its own store grew over the years. Since its foundation, Burgener Sport has been run by our family with passion and dedication and passed on from generation to generation.

Perfect conditions for winter sports
Around 150 km of varied slopes reaching up to 3,600 m offer reliable snow from November to April. Snowboarders enjoy snow parks, cross-country skiers well-groomed trails – and there is also snowshoeing, ice climbing and sledging.
Saas-Grund
Saas-Grund, in the heart of the Saas Valley, is surrounded by Switzerland's highest peaks. The Hohsaas ski area offers more than 35 km of well-groomed slopes up to 3,200 m with stunning views of the 4,000-metre peaks.
Gentle beginner slopes make Saas-Grund ideal for families, cross-country trails run through snowy forests, and Saas-Fee, Saas-Balen and Saas-Almagell are just minutes away. Our shop at Saastalstrasse 199 is the perfect place to rent your equipment.

Welcome to the Saas Valley – surrounded by Switzerland's highest mountains
The Saas Valley is known as the valley of 18 four-thousand-metre peaks, including the Dom (4,545 m), the highest mountain entirely in Switzerland, as well as the Weissmies, Allalinhorn, Alphubel, Lenzspitze and Nadelhorn.
Mountain huts such as the Almageller Hut, Weissmies Hut, Hohsaas Hut and Britannia Hut are great starting points for hikes and tours, and more than 350 km of marked trails await you.
